The
2005 EDS Byron Nelson Championship marks the 60th anniversary
of Byron Nelson’s eleven straight victories in 1945. Back in 1944, a
golfer named Byron Nelson played in the first professional golf tournament
in Dallas, the Texas Victory Open, and won by 10 strokes. In 1968, Nelson
lent his name to the Salesmanship Club of Dallas, and the event has
continued to grow. A champion on and off the golf course, Nelson spends
countless hours promoting the Championship — all in the name of charity.
All of the proceeds of the EDS Byron Nelson Championship benefit Salesmanship
Club
Youth and Family Centers. Your support allows SCYFC to have a positive
effect on the lives of hundreds of Dallas families every year.
