Parent education groups focusing on parenting young children, adolescents
and problem youth are offered in English and Spanish. These classes are
regularly conducted at our office or can be held at area schools, nonprofit
organizations, churches and businesses.

Childcare Provider Seminar
This seminar includes instruction in Early Infant Brain Development,
Shaken Baby Syndrome and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Developed to meet
the requirements of SB#558. Appropriate for licensed daycare workers in
daycare centers or homes serving children 0-24 months. Available in English

Parents Empowering Preschoolers
P.E.P classes are ongoing skill building classes (4:00 - 5:30 pm) for
parents and their children (3 to 5 yrs). The classes are designed to assist
parents and their children manage identified emotional and behavioral

Teen & Young Adult Parenting Class Series
This is an eight week course whose topics include:

Familias Felices
Familias Felices is a group of Spanish-speaking parents committed to
making the most of family life. Each Tuesday from 6-7pm, moms and dads
gather to think through the challenges they face in raising their children.
By sharing their experiences with other parents, participants find emotional
support and learn from the experiences of others. The group is organized
around readings from the book Familias Felices by psychologist David Niven,
Ph.D., in which brief chapters identify and illustrate 100 qualities of
healthy families. Childcare is provided for children ages 3 to 11 during
the time that parents are in group. Please check course

This family strengthening program, held entirely in Spanish,
will demonstrate different ways for parents to guide their children and
