Student Achievement – Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS):

• In 2010-11, for the third consecutive year, J. Erik Jonsson Community School met criteria for Exemplary rating for passing rates that exceeded 90% in all Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) tests (Reading, Math, Writing and Science) for all students.
• 97% of 3rd through 5th graders passed the Reading portion of TAKS; 42% were commended.
• 95% passed TAKS Math; 50% were commended.
• 100% of 4th graders passed TAKS Writing; 35% were commended.
• 100% of 5th graders passed TAKS Science; 63% were commended.

Student Achievement – Early Childhood:

• 85% of PreK students gained 30+ months in English language abilities.
• 82% of Three-Year-Olds gained 15+ months in English language abilities.
• 100% of Kindergarteners read at or above grade level.

Social Competency:

• 93% of all students demonstrated proficiency in the Social/Personality Domain.
• 97% daily attendance was achieved for all students.

Parent Participation/Satisfaction:

• 98% of families met volunteer participation requirements
• 98% of students received a home visit from their teachers prior to the beginning of the school year.
• 100% of parents were satisfied with the education that their children received at the Jonsson School.
• 99.5% were satisfied with the way in which they (parents/families) were treated.
• 98.7% would recommend the Jonsson School to others.
