Salesmanship Club Youth and Family Centers is a learning organization.  Although every staff member has years (or decades!) of experience in the field of research, education and/or therapeutic services, we collectively recognize that we all still have much to learn.

In short, we keep our eyes open!  When we hear of a new approach, a new curriculum or a new research project that could help kids and families, we take the time to follow-up and learn more.  If we are REALLY impressed by it, (and if budget permits), we invite a leading “thinker-doer” to Dallas to visit, offer a workshop or seminar, and spread the word.

From the beginning, the Board at Salesmanship Club Youth and Family Centers has encouraged us to do more than just provide great services for kids and families.  There is a desire for our minds and our doors to be wide open to innovation and change, and for us to serve as a hub for learning in North Texas.  Yet the learning must be connected to doing.  It’s not just about getting smarter. 

It’s about improving our services and having a positive impact on kids and families.

This commitment to learning is also expressed through our internship and pre-service teacher training programs for students.  We’re not just investing in the next generation.  We’re expecting them to help shape our future programs and services.
